Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chewy cookies that blend nutty whole grain flavor with sweet chocolate chips for a wholesome twist on a classic favorite.
Makes 18 cookies
Ingredients
¾ cup butter, softened
1 egg
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
Chocolate chips of choice
Flakey salt for topping (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375. In a bowl, combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until lighter in color and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.

Add flour, salt, and baking soda to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

On 2 parchment lined baking sheets, evenly space 9 equal balls of cookie dough per sheet. Top with flakey salt if desired.

Bake for 10 minutes & enjoy!
